Alright, what follows if a random assortment of photos from doing daysides for the Daily over the past coupla weeks. Leading off here is a wall of bread. Yes, bread. The artist was asked to do a piece for the Mosher Jordan cafeteria and she wanted to go with something that fit what went on in the room. The art school students were impressed.

A poorly publicized vigil on the diag for Katrina victims was attended by a couple dozen students

Sometimes one of the news editors little brother comes in to the newsroom

Ulrich's bookstore put this up in their window facing South University the other day and some people complained because the skeleton was being lynched. I took a photo in case we wrote an article on it. We didn't.

Tony showing a crop of new photogs how to save photos (wow, that was a bad unintentional pun)

Soroity girls on bid day. This photo is admitedly horribly toned. Spot the yearbook photographer!

Michigan Varsity Softball had a game in Ann Arbor the other day, but I was there w/ Hayley as a fan so I didn't shoot the whole game, only what we needed for the next couple day's articles.

I'm working on a photostory that follows a play (Macbeth) from beginning to end with all the behind the scenes stuff so I went out in photographed try-outs. Incidentally, this girl got a part as Lady Macbeth. I'll throw up a full album sometime in December or January once the play and photostory are done.

This house at 730 Arbor street burned down at about 4:00am one morning.

The Daily recently turned 115. Amber and Rachel made cake.

In other Daily news a donor gave the student publications building 3 million for renovations so we ran a story on that.

Michigan Softball Pitcher Jennie Ritter, for this feature story

Daily didn't cover it but I went and saw Harvey Pekar, the guy behind the American Splendor comic book, when he was at Borders

A guy put a buncha these "fairy doors" around the main street area. At each location he leaves a journal for people to write in. This one's a furniture store

And this one's at Sweetwater Cafe.
