Alright, its time to put the "blog" back in photoblog. Lets start off with summer shall we? This here's the coke machine just before summer elections. This year I'm gonna be stickin' round and being an Associate Photo Editor at the Daily. We put out only a weekly paper in the summer, so I'm in the process of finding a second job. I just put an application at Michigan Book and Supply, where I'd be stockin books and art supplies if I worked there.

So around two nights a week (in addition to days when I go shoot stuff) I've been living at the daily editing photos in preparation for summer stuff, getting done after midnight. It's cool havin all those folks work together to put out a paper. Pictured is the tradition of milkshake Thursdays when we all order shakes from Pizza House and hang around and talk.

Here's proof how long its been since I've updated with a blog type entry. The EXIF info on this image file one is tellin me that it was taken in late March. I finally have cause up with the rest of the obscure-games-world and played Settlers of Catan thanks to Ciara and Alex at the building (The building is an old sorority house that the church bought and people live in). I was gonna at this point talk about how next year I was living at the building, but I just moments ago got an email saying that "We regret to inform you that the Pastors are unable to commit to making the Building available for the following school year. We really appreciate you guys buying into the vision for using the Building to live together to form a New Life community. We do apologize, because we know that it is inconvenient to try to find living arrangements at this point in the year." Hmm. Yeah. Inconvenient. So I guess I'll probably be living with guys from the current apartment, though we don't know where yet obviously.

Some University buildings you gotta be within a couple inches of the windows to get any reception. Waiting for a call.

New Life asked me to shoot a recent event, so heres one of those photos. It's neat having other little side things to go out and shoot.

Speaking of side things, I photo'd the Januzzi Watchmen for their promotional stuff. They're a band made up of guys who mostly go to my church.

That same day they had a performance at Relay for Life so a bunch of us headed out to Palmer field to hang out, play some frisbee, and check out the music.

Mason Jennings performing at the Blind Pig. This show was a whole lotta trouble to photograph, starting with my name not being on the list. The place was as packed as I'd ever seen it, so it involved a lot of nudging my way up and shotgunning a whole lotta photos to come up with something like that that was was mediocre but able to be ran.

They sent me out to shoot a play and it turned out to be a production by The Rude Mechanicals, a group I'd photod before so it was nice having people already know who I was. I'm gonna use em for a photo story in the fall
