Mike Hulsebus Photography and Life in Ann Arbor
Alright, here's three of the four things I photographed
for the daily last week (the fourth being a feature photo similar to ones I took
on my own time so I'm skippin that one). Speaking of features by the way, that plasma
photo I took two weeks ago was purchased by the NERS dept and they're talking about
hiring me to shoot their entire brochure that they send out to prospective students. Anyhow though,
back on topic, this first photo was for a story on changing custodians' hours to try
and save a few bucks. Their new hours meant I was up at 5am so I could go over to Angell
Hall and take photos.
There've been a whole buncha people out on the diag
registering people to vote. I registered just the other day, now to figure out who
I wanna vote for...hmm. The registerers came up with some different ways to get
people's attention from free pizza to dressing up as "The Dragon of Democracy" like
this guy.
One of the better speaker shots I've ever taken, this guy
is Jason DeParle of the New York Times. He was in talking about the current state of welfare.
And off the topic of Daily things, here's an excessively cropped snapshot with the little camera
from econ this morning. Exam season is starting up and I've got my Econ exam on Wednesday.
The professor likes to add a bit of humor to his review sessions. [I realize you may not me able to read this,
so the transparency at left is a question asking who the best athlete of the 20th century was and the right side shows his
answer was "E. It was the Ultimate Warrior!" who's some wrestler from a while ago I understand.] Anyhow, I've got most
of my studying for the econ exam done, so tomorrow I should only have to worry about getting good shots for the Daily on my dayside.
