I drove out to the east side of the state to check out the Monroe County Fair.

Jake the fish, who used to live over in South Quad, still lives desprite his trips to many places back and forth, including Monroe and a dorm room floor.

The Fair itself was pretty cool. It had rides,

bored ride operators,

rabbits,

....fried cheese (I may not get it, but apparently its pretty popular)....

things for the kids,

goats,

animal judging (I don't think yanking your cow helps your score),

craftspeople selling stuff,

and, most importantly, cool people to hang out with

I had to drive back the same day because I worked the next day. The drive itself went well (thank you mapquest.com) except for an accident up the road that stopped traffic both ways for twenty minutes or so
