Mike Hulsebus Photography: Chelsea State Game Area

Chelsea State Game Area

Yesterday Karen and I went out to the outdoors Mecca that is Cabela's in Dundee, Michigan: Land of Taxidermied Animals. Here I bought a CO2 pellet gun.

It's not a gun-gun but we were really completely sure where we could shoot it. I mean it looks
exactly like a real gun. So we figured might as well take it somewhere you could have
an actual gun, the Chelsea State Game area. See below for location.

We needed some targets and figured photos from magazines worked as well as anything else.

Karen got him right in the eye.

Lebron doesn't seem to care that I used him as a target.

There's a lot of cool scenery out at the nature area.
We didn't see any deer, but we spotted some tracks.

And also spotted the opportunity for a photo op.

The Amtrak on the southern border of the game area.

I spotted this little garter snake in the grass. Karen hoped to see some frogs, but we didn't see any.

Our other purchase at Cabela's was this cool little spring assist open knife for Karen.
Lucky for the wild animals' safety, none of them tried to tangle with Karen
