The Art Fair was pretty lame for photography early on: it was my fourth time going and all the same artists were there in all the same places. Then the tornado siren went off.
At first I ignored it as a test (while making a lame deadpan joke that the Luftwaffe was coming) but then I realized it
wasn't the first of the month and it definitely wasn't noon. It was a real tornado siren.
Doppler radar. I threw my 20D up in the air on a timer to get this photo.
Everybody panic! Batton down the hatches! A good captain goes down with his tent!
Ok, so everybody didn't panic, must most people booked it to get inside. These girls were sitting eating their ice cream
as they sky seemed to get better. I took this photo while me and Karen split to go inside. About three minutes later these girls
must have absolutely gotten drenched. The rain lasted about three minutes before stopping for the rest of the day. Word on the street was that
the tornado actually touched down somewhere to the north.
