Last weekend I photographed Farayha and Misbah's Mehndi and Walima around Southeast Michigan. The Mehndi was at the
Henry Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Pictured is Farayha's henna, which she had done the night before.

The night also had a number of speeches and performances.
Farayha's mom cries as someone sings the same song that was sung on her wedding day.
Their friends and family members wrote a poem and acted out the history of their relationship.
