Graduation Fountain Walk
Here at the Univeristy of Michigan, when students go to their orientation, tradition holds that they line up and walk through the fountain in front of Burton Tower
This is me doing that back in 2003.
Here's what the Freize Building (across the street from the tower) looked like back in the day.
And here it is today, being torn down to be replaced by a dorm room.
Burton Tower early this morning on a fine May day.
Katie, Stephanie, Amber, and I all met up at the fountain to finish the tradition and walk through
the fountain in the reverse direction.
Breakfast of champions.
We deshoed ourselved and rolled up our pants.
The first step into the water captured thanks to camera timers.
Amber leads the way.
And so that was that.
And now, the end of our four years in college together, we had to say goodbye.
Katie's off to med school, Amber to the Grand Rapids Press, and Stephanie to do
Teach for America in Arizona. Quite unfortunately, we won't be able to see each other again until everyone
comes back to Ann Arbor in October.
