Karen and I went out to the Plymouth Orchard today hoping to do some apple picking. Quite a few people were out there just because they (the orchard that is) were celebrating their 25th anniversary. The orchard even went so far as to get a cover band
for entertainment.
In addition to the orchards they have: Horses! And other petting zoo type animals.
I originally didn't have this photo that Karen took on this entry, but then, after it become an account profile photo on facebook, I was informed that I couldn't not
post it here as well. The weird this about my website is that it currently somehow is trying to function both as my blog, a porfolio (of sorts), and a place for people
interested in having me as a wedding photographer. Worm people really know how to capture your wedding day with photojournalistic style in case you haven't heard.
Turns out that they don't have apple picking any more: kids hurt the trees they say. But they've got these twenty minute tractor rides around the
property
apple tree saplings
One of many balloons that the kids just couldn't hold onto
You can't pick them, but they're certainly happy to sell them to you. 7 bucks buys you a half peck (they're good though). We also got a thing of cider
(way better than Ann Arbor farmer's market cider) and donuts. Next fall adventure: pumpkins.
