It's that time of the year in Ann Arbor when the leases on everyone's apartments
run out.
For everyone living at The Crows Nest (our apartment), this meant a lot of cleaning and packing.
We had had the cleaning supplies all along (this is like a third of them), but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men.
It was about making small steps towards everyone getting their stuff moved out. The really unfortunate thing about how schedules
worked out was that of the 5 original Crows Nest members, only two were living there (me and spencer) at move out time. So that meant that we
not only had to clean up our own stuff, but try and figure out what the past residents had left behind.
Spencer vaccuums.
My room the night before move out, the furniture moved from cleaning under it. I had a wedding that Saturday, so I packed up all my stuff in the car, and hauled it around from
one wedding location to the next that day.
Leaving Saturday morning.
Don't park your car under the wrong tree: that space is empty for a reason.
In case you haven't heard, everyone cool has Frodgy in his or her senior picture.
Seems everyone's moving out of Ann Arbor these days. This photo was that at Gallup Park the day we went to
Steve and Jean's farewell BBQ (they're now off in China).
Karen and I hit some garage sales a couple weeks ago and I when I saw two furbys for a buck, I couldn't pass up
seeing what all the Christmas fuss was about a couple year ago. These things once sold each for thirty dollars or more.
Pretty much they're one of the most annoying toys ever. They're really mechanical; every time they move their ears, you hear the
whirr of all the gears hiding beneath their fur. Mostly they just say "ahhh ahhhh ahhhh. choooooooo. hungwy. ahhh ahhhh ahhh"
and then you put a finger in their mouth and they say "yummmmmmm". Then it repeats. It was a relief when they went to sleep. As a kid
I had a virtual pet or two, and they were fun--unlike these things.
Speaking of strange products, these things were on the clearance shelf of a hallmark store. I'm unclear as to
who would want these and where they would display them.
I feel like whatever little girl has these dolls is too young to have them.
Kevin brought this cool old train set to the Beach House a while ago. Zooey was afraid but couldn't look away.
Me and two other photographers went to Michigan football's media day last week to get the photos we would need for upcoming
kickoff magazine and football coverage. Spot your favorite Michigan news personality.
Hand mixer. Incidentally, this too is another moving away photo--Ciara was making a dessert for Jillian's farewell party.
Before Gibbers the Gibbon (see Zooey's birthday entry), Zooey spent lots of time wrestling and biting this baby. Now she has to divide her
mauling time.
