Karen and I went to Gallup Park today to go rent canoes on the Huron River. Luckily, it didn't
rain like some forecasts predicted, but it was ridiculously hot.

Shoving off
The shade under this bridge made it a stop on the way both up and down river. The bridge itself
is a one-lane bridge for cars driving into Gallup Park.
Under the bridge.
A side area of the river had large areas of the green algae-like stuff. It was so thick that
when we tried to coast over it, it slowed our canoe to a stop.
We paddled up the river for maybe forty-five minutes before turning around to coast down stream

After we got back on land and cooled off, we drove to Canton to check out the IKEA that recently opened
The place is so huge that they actually have a trolley that runs from their back parking lot to the entrance.
Inside, the place was pretty crowded (we were glad we didn't have to manuever a cart around). They've got a lot
of cool stuff there, and I'll probably head back when I've gotta buy stuff for my next [unfurnished] apartment.
