Mike Hulsebus Photography: Chicken Kabob Recipe (South Beach Diet Phase One Friendly)
I'm back in Grandville briefly for the Fourth of July (and dentist appointments: whee). Today
we hit the main two Fourth events: The Grandville parade and the fireworks display. Here, kids across the street
wait for the approaching parade.
A group of motorcyclists lead off the one and a half hour parade.
The politicians and businesses always come out in full force
There was a woman walking around the sidewalk letting people hold her three puppies that
she was carrying in a box inside a duffel bag, hoping to sell them.
The kids are there for the candy.
It wouldn't be a parade without the Grandville Marching Band. After all these years,
I still remember how the cadence goes.
Who doesn't like free stuff?
This kid followed a float down the street until he snagged a second free shirt
I liked this lady because 1) she's a pirate 2) she's not with a group and is just doing it for fun
Tonight's fireworks
I like this one because it doesn't look like a firework at all.
The grand finale
And the fourth of July wouldn't be complete without the annual Writing in the Air With Sparklers.

The Michigan Block M. Sure, I did it last year but so what?
