Every year in Grand Rapids they've got Blues on the Mall, a thing where there's a bunch
of free blues concerts over in Rosa Parks Circle. The sponsors like to let you know who they are.

I went to go check out Jody Williams. I can't say
I'd ever heard of the guy before this, but a google search tells me that Jody Williams (the
blues guy of course, not the 1997 Nobel Laureate for Peace) seems to be pretty well known...his latest
CD
is called Return of A Legend. To have the guts to put the word "Legend" on
there suggests something.

He attracted a pretty good crowd. I dunno if Mr. Mohawk liked him or thought he was boring, but
there was a really diverse crowd out to hear the music.

Well, to hear the music and perhaps make some cash at the same time. In addition to folks like
the vet here (who triple underlined his triple exclamation marks) there were plenty of people looking to make a buck. There was a cellphone booth, two tee-shirt booths, a concession stand, a hotdog stand, a "seed" seller, people papering windshields with fliers, and cops writing parking tickets

Also in town was some motorcycle related gathering near The Bob.
