Mike Hulsebus Photography: The First Week Back in Grandville (May 24, 2004) The First Weeks Back in Grandville

Text
One of the first things to do back in Grandville was to look for a job. I first went here: the Meijer Photo Department. I talked to the woman in charge of hiring on three seperate occasions. On the third she decided to tell me that they weren't looking for seasonal help. I've applied a couple other places. I've got an application for D&W, a local grocery store that wants four references. When I went to Meijer to get a reference from Meijer my old manager said he thinks he could find me something at Meijer, or at the very least give me a good reference for wherever I apply. He's a nice guy.

Eston drove over a while ago so I could take photos for his new album. Check out his website to hear his music. As for the photos though, it rained. We decided to ditch the photo idea and headed to Steak and Shake.

While Grandville isn't exactly "Blandville" (to quote Foss quoting Alana) there are considerably fewer things to do here. The main Grandville hangouts are Steak and Shake and Noshville, both open 24hrs. I've probably been to Noshville at least four times. This particular photo is from the time Danna was in town. I've been out taking photos a couple times, as you would expect. Note the new Canon EOS300D that I'm holding.

And what do I new with this amazing new camera? I take photos and edit them so it looks like Frodgy the frog puppet is skateboarding.

The new camera takes such good photos that in the original of this one, I'm able to read "Immanuel Lutheran Church" on the sign.
